Cladding Safety Scheme
Open - the main route
The Cladding Safety Scheme is now the single route for new government funding applications for cladding remediation in England. Administered by Homes England, it meets the cost of addressing life-safety fire risks associated with cladding on eligible residential buildings. Applications are made through the Building Remediation Hub by the person or organisation legally responsible for the building's external repairs — or by their representative, which is the role we play for our clients.
Building Safety Fund
Closed to new applications — we help with stalled ones
The Building Safety Fund, which previously covered buildings of 18 metres and above, closed to new applications on 1 September 2025. Existing BSF applications continue to be processed, and many have transferred into the Cladding Safety Scheme. If your building has a stalled BSF application, we can help you get it moving again.
Buildings under 11 metres
New for 2026

For the first time, the government has announced grant funding for the remediation of unsafe cladding on residential buildings under 11 metres, where a Fire Risk Appraisal of External Walls identifies sufficient risk. The application window is short: 17 August 2026 to 9 October 2026. If you own or manage a low-rise building with cladding concerns, contact us now so the groundwork is ready before the window opens.

Why waiting now carries risk
Government policy is moving from encouragement to enforcement. Under the Remediation Acceleration Plan, building owners face hard deadlines to fix unsafe cladding, with penalties for those who fail to act. Waiting is no longer a neutral option — inaction now carries legal and financial risk.
