1. Who we are
Facade Consultancy Services is a brand of Horizon Facades Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 11186519, with its registered office at [address]. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Horizon Facades Limited's brand Facade Consultancy Services.
We help freeholders, resident management companies and managing agents apply for government funding for cladding remediation. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
If you have any question about this policy or about how we handle your information, contact us at hello@facadeconsultancyservices.com.
2. What information we collect
-
When you complete our enquiry form or contact us: your name, your role (for example freeholder, RMC director or managing agent), your organisation, your email address and telephone number, the building you are enquiring about including its name, address and postcode, and whatever you tell us about its height, cladding, fire safety assessments and any funding applications already made.
-
When you become a client: the further information needed to run your application, including correspondence with you, documents relating to the building and its ownership, details of other professionals involved, and records of the work we do on your behalf.
-
When you visit our website:Â cookies and technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and how you arrived at the site. Section 8 explains this and your choices.
-
When we contact you about our services: business contact details obtained from public sources such as Companies House, the Land Registry, publicly available leasehold and building records, professional directories and company websites. Section 6 explains this.

If you give us information about someone else — a fellow director, a leaseholder, a contractor — please make sure they know we will hold it and point them to this policy.

We do not intentionally collect special category data such as health information. Please do not send us any unless we have specifically asked for it.
Â
3. Why we use your information
We use your information for the following purposes, relying on the lawful basis shown in each case.

-
Responding to your enquiry and assessing whether your building may be eligible for funding — our legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
-
Providing our services, including preparing, submitting and managing funding applications on your behalf — performance of our contract with you.
-
Corresponding with Homes England, fire engineers, surveyors and other parties involved in your application — performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in delivering the service properly.
-
Sending business-to-business marketing about our services to organisations that may need them — our legitimate interests.
-
Keeping records, managing our accounts, and handling complaints or disputes — our legitimate interests, and compliance with our legal obligations.
-
Improving our website and understanding how it is used — your consent, given through our cookie banner.
Â
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether our interests are overridden by your rights, and we have concluded they are not. You can ask us for more detail, and you can object at any time — see section 9.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only where it is necessary, and only with:

-
Homes England and other public bodies administering the relevant funding scheme, where this is part of the service you have asked us to provide
-
Professional advisers we engage on your instruction, such as fire engineers carrying out a Fire Risk Appraisal of External Walls, surveyors, cost consultants and solicitors
-
Your managing agent, freeholder, RMC or other parties connected with the building, where you have asked us to work with them
-
Our service providers, who process information on our behalf under contract, including our website provider, our email and document provider, and our accountant
-
Anyone we are legally required to share it with, including regulators, law enforcement, or a court

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
5. Where your information is held
Our website and business systems are provided by suppliers who may store or process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, so that your information continues to receive an equivalent level of protection. You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply.
6. Marketing and business contact data
We contact organisations that are likely to have responsibility for buildings affected by cladding safety issues. To do this, we hold limited business contact details — typically an organisation name, a role or named contact, a business email address and a business telephone number — obtained from public sources such as Companies House, the Land Registry, publicly available property and leasehold records, professional directories and organisations' own websites.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: our interest in offering a relevant professional service, balanced against the limited intrusion of a business message sent to a business address about a responsibility the recipient already holds.
Â
You can opt out at any time. Every marketing message we send identifies us clearly and tells you how to stop receiving them. Use the unsubscribe link in any message, or email hello@facadeconsultancyservices.com, and we will stop. If you would like to know where we obtained your details, ask us and we will tell you.
7. How long we keep it
-
Enquiries that do not proceed: up to 12 months from your last contact with us.
-
Client records:Â for the duration of our engagement and then for six years, reflecting the limitation period for contractual claims in England and Wales, and any longer period required by the funding scheme or by law.
-
Accounting records: six years from the end of the relevant accounting period, as required by HMRC.
-
Marketing opt-out records: indefinitely, because we need them to honour your objection.
-
Website analytics: as set by the tools described in section 8.
8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies, which are small files placed on your device. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work and for security. Others help us understand how the site is used, or support marketing measurement; these are only set if you agree through the banner shown when you first visit.
Â
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in our website footer, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though the site may not work as well if you do.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
-
Access the personal information we hold about you
-
Correct it if it is wrong
-
Delete it in certain circumstancesRestrict** how we use it
-
Object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests. Where you object to marketing, we will always stop.
-
Receive a copy in a portable format, where we rely on consent or on our contract with you
-
Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it, without affecting anything done beforehand
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@facadeconsultancyservices.com. We will respond within one month, and there is normally no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, by telephone on 0303 123 1113, or by post to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
10. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and limiting access to those who need it. No system is completely secure, but we take this responsibility seriously and will notify you and the relevant authority of any breach where the law requires it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version in force is always the one published here, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will draw attention to it on the website.
